Patented FACE Gears

These are commonly found in high-power applications like aviation. A patent was secured by Benincà which specifically addresses the 90° return of motion in the internal bevel gears and is now incorporated within the new TOM range.
Typically, FACE gears are rare in applications like ours, as they are commonly used in helicopter tilt rotors. This also includes FACE gears in the TOM design offers significant advantages, especially in weight and load distribution on the teeth, surpassing traditional bevel gears.
Key advantages of FACE gears in the TOM operator include reduced sensitivity to misalignment, low transmission errors, and also silent motor operation. The unique teeth geometry ensures better stress distribution, resulting in higher resistance to heavy loads, impacts, and wear and tear, providing a smooth operation.
