‘Automatic Barriers in South Yorkshire, by Techparc Ltd’
Overview
Situated at a distribution hub in Hoyland, a town in the metropolitan borough of Barnsley, South Yorkshire, Techparc Ltd had the pleasure of installing a controlled barrier system. The install was for a large firm wanting to increase security and manage authorised access to the site and carpark. Furthermore, to give you an indication of the scale, this busy distribution hub usually has 100 cars accessing the carpark everyday.
Challenges
Every installation has its challenges and with this project being a commercial site, Techparc Ltd had to manage the traffic control throughout the installation period. With no downtime, the car park had to remain fully operational. However,this is where the EVA barrier was ideal, with top access to the control panel, it provided the engineer with quick and easy access for fast programming. Additionally, the barrier can easily be re-handed right or left hand and has a simple, quick and reliable boom arm balancing system.
Feedback from the installation engineer: ‘The EVA barriers are a nice and easy install; programming of the barrier is quick to do allowing these final stages of the installation a swift process.’
Automation
Techparc Ltd installed two Benincà EVA.5 5m Road Traffic Barriers for this project. Perfect for the brief, the EVA barrier is ideal for intensive use. Also, it’s built-in absolute encoder allowes the installer the ability to manage advanced beam movement. Essentially the encoder works to ensure greater precision in slowdowns. This is because it provides a direct reference on the speed of the boom arm.
Conclusion
The Beninca EVA barriers were the best solution for this site. As a result, they now provide the end user with secure and controlled access. A huge congratulations to Techparc Ltd for winning our November Proper Job award for this stand out installation.
