For this particular project, their customer based in Dry Doddington, Lincolnshire reached out looking to replace a tired and very slow existing automated gate. The customer wanted a new electric gate to add style and elegance to the main entrance of their property. However, this had to tie in well with the overall look of their house, a mix between modern and traditional. The design was then left for Gates At Home to ensure it followed suit with the house. The customer was absolutely delighted with the final outcome.
Challenges
Gates At Home confirmed, ‘This was a pretty straightforward rip and replace job. Though, the old wooden posts were 400mm square and a metre deep. So, it did give the groundworkers a bit of a task.’
Automation
Originally the customer had stressed their old sliding gate was very slow opening, and it felt like they had to wait a very long time to gain access. With a focus around speed, Gates At Home decided to power the new sliding gate using a Benincà BULL624 TURBO sliding gate motor, renowned for its quick opening speeds of 25.5 m/min. This fast 24 Vdc gear motor, with an integrated control unit and virtual encoder is capable of powering gate leaf’s up to a weight of 600 Kg.

Conclusion
