For this particular installation, their client was already familiar with TPS Gates & Doors with them having already installed electric gates at another property they own. Delighted with the previous gates and automation, the client reached out again for automated steel gates to enhance this entrance.
Challenges
The main challenge TPS Gates & Doors faced was working alongside multiple trades all at one given time. With groundworkers, the TPS team themselves, electricians, landscape gardeners, the client, builders, and consideration for the neighbours, this all adds a level of complexity and coordination to the installation.
Automation
As with every project, TPS Gates & Doors considered and selected the automation that was best suited for the specific project, whilst delivering the most discrete application possible. With this in mind, they chose to power the steel swing gates using Benincà DU.IT14NVE underground operators. The DU.IT14NVE is an irreversible 230 Vac electromechanical geared motor that is equipped with an encoder. This provides inherent obstacle detection and precision whilst the gate is in motion.
The installation includes a stylish surface mount Videx GSM with a keypad. Alongside free exit loops, encoders, and 2x sets of Benincà Pupilla photocells.
