Unique close boarded Swing Gates, Installed in Berkshire by ASAS Automation
Overview
ASAS Automation are specialists in designing, manufacturing, and installing electric gates and automated entry systems for both domestic and commercial clients. Based in Berkshire, their dedicated team provides professional in-house services, including consultancy, routine maintenance, repairs, and installation services, ensuring a seamless experience.
For a recent project based in Lambourn, Berkshire, ASAS worked closely with their customer who wanted an automated gate system to complement and enhance the entrance of their property.
The client approached ASAS with an open mind, seeking guidance and suggestions for the gate design and automation. ASAS used their experience and expertise and proposed Corten steel, as they thought this particular material would harmonize with the natural surroundings and effortlessly complement the style of the property.
Corten is an extremely durable and strong steel, renowned for its rusty appearance which it gets once left to weather, also reducing the need to be painted. Interestingly the rust that develops seals the surface by creating a protective layer preventing further corrosion and reduces the amount of glare that can be found on standard metals. This process reduces the amount of maintenance which is required whilst simultaneously increasing the life span of the material. The unique natural product has provided an eye-catching, head turner of a gate/driveway.
Challenges
Regarding facing any challenges, ASAS confirmed ‘Nothing other than some minor teething issues at the beginning, which were quickly resolved.’ With their meticulous attention to detail and professional approach, ASAS were able to address and resolve any challenges promptly.
Automation
A long-standing customer of Beninca UK, ASAS confirmed, ‘We almost always use Benincà equipment, as we find it to be the most reliable in the market.’ ASAS decided to power this particular swing gate installation with a Beninca DU.350NVE underground motor with encoder technology. ASAS also installed a number of gate safety products including Benincà PUPILLA photocells, along with safety edges to comply with safety legislation. For seamless access control, they installed a flush-mounted
with a keypad to open and control the gates.
Conclusion
ASAS produced a stunning entrance, which we are delighted to award our Proper Job Award for July 2023. It’s not surprising to hear they received overwhelmingly positive feedback from their client. Following the completion of the project, they have since had multiple referrals, a testament to the quality of their work.
