For this particular sliding gate project, the end user based in Stockbridge wanted to increase security at the main entrance of their property. Working closely alongside their customer, MEA Gate Services worked hard to incorporate all the customers desired elements within the installation. The customer’s vision was then brought to life with a 4.5m metal framed sliding gate, frame zinc coated & powder coated in RAL 7021 satin black/grey colour to match the new estate fencing.
Challenges
Practicality wise, the customer wanted quick and convenient access to their property. MEA Gate Services decided to install a VIDEX GSM intercom to provide complete controlled access. This particular intercom can also be programmed and controlled using an app on the end users’ mobile phone from anywhere in the world, so this really delivered against the customers’ brief.
Automation
MEA Gate Services chose to power the stylish sliding gate using a Benincà BULL624 TURBO sliding gate motor. You may spot the addition of ‘Turbo’ within the motor’s product title. The ‘Turbo’ status is only awarded to Benincà motors with opening speeds higher than standard values, and the BULL624 Turbo has just that, with incredibly fast opening speeds of 25.5 m/min. This sliding gate motor really does stand out against others in the market, renowned for its smooth and speedy operation. As noted above, MEA Gate Services installed a VIDEX gsm intercom for access control, along with all the relevant safety edges and wired connections all boot laced for complete gate safety.
